About Us

At Heart of Illinois Mensa, our goal is to foster camaraderie among our members. HoIM is a social organization. When we get together, it is for fun and conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. You are more likely to find us discussing the Simpsons or planning a happy hour at a local watering hole than discussing quantum physics or solving differential equations.

We usually meet monthly at places like Buffalo Wild Wings in Champaign or other local restaurants. Check out the calendar for details of upcoming events. All events are open to all current HoIM members, family and guests or anyone who would like to know more about Mensa. Our activities are family friendly unless otherwise noted on the calendar. Watch the web site for info on upcoming events like lunches, dinners, movie nights, and game nights. Truth is, just about anything of interest to our diverse membership is fair game.
